The pack of ten cocoa W82 Microlite Windscreens from AKG is designed for use with the LC82 MD (lavalier), EC82 MD (ear-hook), and HC82 MD (headworn) reference lightweight omnidirectional microphones. You simply place this foam windscreen over the microphone's wire-mesh cap for additional sound protection in challenging environments.
If your performance requires even more protection from the elements (e.g. in a windy outdoor venue), you can simply place an additional foam windscreen W82 above the the omnidirectional wire-mesh protection cap (WM82). It increases the size of the microphone by only a fraction, and produces clean sound in challenging environments.
