The 90R series fusion splicers, including the 90R12 and 90R16, offer advanced mass-fusion capabilities, splicing up to 12-fiber and 16-fiber ribbons, respectively. They feature a pioneering user-replaceable V-groove assembly, allowing quick field replacement to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
This design enhances cleanliness by preventing fiber offsets and high losses caused by splicing debris, a common issue with traditional fixed V-grooves. Supplied as standard in the 90R kit, the spare V-grooves support conventional 12-fiber encapsulated ribbons, SpiderWeb Ribbon (SWR), and 250µm or 200µm pitch fibers, while the 90R12 model additionally accommodates single-fiber splicing when needed.

Universal Fibre Holder
One Holder, Many Ribbons
The FH-70-12 fibre holder is compatible with many types of 12 fibre ribbons, such as 0.3mm or 0.4mm thick encapsulated ribbons and 200µm or 250µm coated Spider Web Ribbon (SWR). The 250µm pitch V-grooves in the FH-70-12 fiber holder simplify SWR loading and ribbon preparation.
Pitch Conversion Fibre Holder
200µm to 250µm Pitch
The pitch conversion fiber holder, FH-70-12PC, enables pitch conversion of individual 200µm coated fibers from a 200µm to 250µm pitch. The pitch-converted 200µm fibers can now be loaded in the 90R12 mass fusion splicer.
Ribbonising Tool
Quick Ribbonisation
The RT-02 is a tool that enables quick and easy ribbonisation of 12 individual fibres into a temporary ribbon which can be spliced using a 90R12. No glue or adhesive is required when using this ribboning tool since the arranged fibers are immediately loaded into the fiber holder. The RT-02 doesn't require the user to insert the fibers in the color code sequence, which is necessary with other ribbon arrangement tools.
