Because office and classroom projectors are used with the room lights on and window blinds open, they need high light output to produce a bright image. New 6-Point Screen Adjustment for Projection into Room Corners
The PT-VMZ51 is the first Panasonic projector to feature 6-Point Screen Correction. It allows you to perform 4-Corner and Horizontal/Vertical Keystone Correction via remote control to remove trapezoidal distortion when projecting from an angle, such as a high ceiling. An extra two control points located at center top and bottom of the screen can be used to remove distortion when projecting an image into the corner of a room.
New Digital Zoom Extender Function
In some cases, the throw-distance required to produce an image at the desired size might exceed the projector’s optical zoom range. Panasonic answers the problem with a new Digital Zoom Extender function equipped for the first time on the PT-VMZ51. It provides a convenient way to fit the image to your screen beyond optical zoom range, reducing the need to relocate your projector mounts and potentially saving you time, money, and hassle on your next refreshment cycle.
Easy Installation, Simple Setup
1.6x Zoom Lens and Lens Shift Function
The 1.6x zoom lens with flexible 1.09 –1.77:1 throw-ratio enables large-format projection from close up or far away from the screen: ideal for permanent installation in large or small rooms. Wide-range Vertical/Horizontal Lens-Shift aligns the image to fit the projection surface in moments. This is handy when the projection position is too high, too low, or off-center.
Supports 4K signal input*3
The PT-VMZ51 Series supports 4K/30p signal input*3 via HDMI®or DIGITAL LINK*2 terminals, enabling seamless integration into existing or planned 4K-ready system infrastructure.
Single-Cable DIGITAL LINK*2 Solution
A dedicated DIGITAL LINK*2 terminal transmits AV and control signals via LAN cable for up to 150 m (492 ft)*8 and 4K video for up to 50 m (164 ft)*9. Optional DIGITAL LINK Switcher*10 and Digital Interface Box*10 reduce complexity, acting as a hub for connected sources and routing signals to the projector via one cable. A separate LAN terminal offers dedicated control interface if preferred.
Horizontal, Vertical, and Corner Keystone Correction
Manual keystone adjustment fits the image to the screen when projecting from an unusual angle. Curved Screen Correction removes barrel or pincushion distortion for natural projection onto curved surfaces.
The People-Friendly Projector
Get a smooth start to classes and meetings: two CEC command compatible5 HDMI® inputs enable projector ON/OFF with the source device, and images appear quickly thanks to Quick On/Quick Off laser design. The projectors support 4K input signals6 via HDMI and DIGITAL LINK7 to simplify system construction and projector integration.
Power Consumption Reduced 20%
Select PT-VMZ51 use about 20% less energy than models in the previous series. Efficiency is further increased, and brightness optimized to ambient light levels, by pressing the ECO9 button on the remote.
