i8 and i8T

i8 and the transformer version - i8T, are two-way high performance loudspeakers specifically designed for distributed music, paging and speech applications. Each model features a quality 8" low frequency transducer and 1" dome tweeter housed inside a durable ABS enclosure  - with a full protective frontal grille. Both models feature Phoenix (Euroblock) input connections for easy on-site wiring, and both models are supplied with a sturdy, adjustable wall mounting bracket. i8 is a low-impedance 8Ω model and i8T features an internal transformer for use with 70/100V installations.

Both i8 and i8T are sold as pairs to ensure the best value for money. They are also supplied with removable mounting brackets.

Wharfedale Pro drivers

Custom Wharfedale Pro drivers deliver a pure, unflattered and smooth sound. The 8.0" LF driver is smooth and accurate, giving a warmth and depth that is unusual in a plastic installation speaker. Meanwhile the 1.0" soft dome tweeter gives clear, but not agressive, high end. The silk diaphragm material is ideal for speech and paging purposes.

Around the back

Connections and input settings are discretely placed around the back. Both the i8 and i8T use Phoenix connectors for bare wire connections. The image shown is of the i8T transformer version. This shows the transformer tap control which is adjusted with a small screwdriver but is surface mounted which ensures that no accidental power changes can be made.

Easy install

The beauty of i8 and i8T is that you don't have to worry about finding specialist mounting hardware. The mounting brackets are included. These brackets are simple to install and give comprehensive adjustment angles due to the semi-circular 'ball and socket' design. i8 and i8T are easy to mount, easy to adjust and simple to securely lock in place. There is also a threaded insert for attachment of the included seismic restraint tether.
