Cisco C1111-8PLTEEA Overview

The Cisco C1111-8PLTEEA is an enterprise-class Integrated Services Router from the Cisco ISR 1100 Series, designed for secure and reliable connectivity in small and medium-sized enterprise branch offices. It combines wired Gigabit Ethernet, dual WAN connectivity and integrated LTE Advanced in a single compact platform.

The router provides 8 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and two Gigabit Ethernet WAN interfaces, including one RJ-45/SFP combo WAN port and one dedicated Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 WAN port. This architecture gives organizations flexible options for connecting branch networks to primary, secondary or backup WAN services.

Cisco also integrates LTE Advanced CAT6 connectivity into the C1111-8PLTEEA, making it suitable for cellular WAN backup, temporary connectivity, remote locations and business continuity applications. The EA variant is designed for EMEAR and North American LTE deployments.

8-Port Gigabit Ethernet LAN Connectivity

The C1111-8PLTEEA provides 8 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports for connecting computers, IP phones, access points, switches, surveillance devices and other business network equipment. The platform supports Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for high-speed local-area networking while providing integrated routing and security services.

Dual Gigabit WAN Connectivity

Designed for resilient branch connectivity, the Cisco C1111-8PLTEEA features two Gigabit Ethernet WAN interfaces. One WAN interface is a flexible RJ-45/SFP combination port, while the second is a dedicated Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 interface.

This dual-WAN architecture can be used for primary and secondary WAN connections, WAN redundancy, failover and flexible service-provider connectivity. The SFP capability on the combo interface also provides additional deployment flexibility where supported optical connectivity is required.

Integrated LTE Advanced CAT6

One of the key capabilities of the C1111-8PLTEEA is its integrated LTE Advanced CAT6 modem. Cellular connectivity can provide an additional WAN path for branch offices and remote sites, helping maintain network connectivity when the primary wired WAN connection is unavailable.

The C1111-8PLTEEA is equipped with 4GB fixed DRAM and 4GB fixed Flash memory. This memory configuration supports Cisco IOS XE software and the router's integrated networking functions.
