Product Overview

The Cisco Meraki MT20-HW is a compact, cloud-managed indoor door open/close sensor designed to monitor physical access points such as doors, cabinets, gates, and other openings. It uses a Hall Effect magnetic sensor to detect changes between the sensor and its magnetic counterpart.

The MT20-HW communicates wirelessly using Bluetooth Low Energy and can work with compatible Cisco Meraki infrastructure. Sensor information can be monitored centrally through the Meraki Dashboard, helping organizations maintain visibility across multiple locations.

Installation & Deployment

The MT20-HW is designed for straightforward indoor installation. The sensor and magnetic component are positioned together when the monitored door is closed. When the door opens, the separation between the sensor and magnet is detected and the status can be reported through the Meraki ecosystem.

The compact design makes the MT20 suitable for doors, cabinets and other access points where continuous open/close monitoring is required.
