Cisco Nexus N9K-C9364C-GX 64-Port 40/100GbE Data Center Switch

The Cisco Nexus N9K-C9364C-GX is a compact 2RU fixed-port data center switch designed for modern cloud-scale, AI/ML and hyperscale data center networks. It delivers exceptional throughput, ultra-low latency and 400G readiness for next-generation spine-leaf architectures.

It provides 64 × 100G QSFP28 ports for high-density uplink and backbone connectivity. The platform is backward compatible with QSFP56 and QSFP28 optics, and supports 400G upgrade paths via breakout cables, enabling seamless migration from 100G to 400G networking.

Built on enhanced Cisco Cloud Scale Plus technology with 7nm FinFET architecture, the switch delivers up to 25.6 Tbps full-duplex switching capacity and optimized latency of approximately 500 nanoseconds. It supports both Cisco NX-OS and Cisco ACI modes, making it ideal for traditional data center fabrics or fully automated, policy-driven environments.

The N9K-C9364C-GX is engineered for high-density networking environments where 100G connectivity, ultra-low latency and high throughput are required.

The N9K-C9364C-GX is designed for deployment as a high-density spine or leaf switch in modern data center architectures. Its 64 QSFP28 ports provide high-speed connections for spine-to-leaf and leaf-to-spine traffic flows.

This architecture enables scalable east-west traffic flows and high-speed interconnection between data center access, leaf and spine layers. The switch supports VXLAN EVPN for modern overlay networking and multi-site deployments.

The platform provides advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 capabilities, intelligent buffering with 48 MB intelligent dynamic buffer, and support for high-performance computing, AI/ML workloads and large-scale virtualization.

The N9K-C9364C-GX supports VXLAN EVPN fabrics, enabling scalable overlay networking with standards-based control plane protocols.

The platform supports multi-site VXLAN EVPN deployments, allowing organizations to extend network virtualization across data centers with centralized policy and automation.

The N9K-C9364C-GX is part of the Cisco Nexus 9000 family and supports Cisco data center networking environments based on Cisco NX-OS.

The platform also supports deployment in Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) environments where centralized policy, automation and data center orchestration are required. The switch's default role is leaf, and it can be configured as spine or leaf depending on deployment requirements.
