All instruments of PRS S2 Standard 24 have a mahogany body and neck, and this gives these guitars a characteristic resonance and powerful sustain. And when the rich, round, warm tones of mahogany are complemented by S2 HFS and Vintage Bass pickups, the resulting sound has many clear treble and strong mid frequencies. Thanks to its one-piece body and electronics, the S2 Standard 24 guitar sounds great, both directly included in the guitar amp and when using guitar effects. The original PRS Standard guitar was created in 1987, and became the basis of all mahogany Paul Smith guitars. The PRS S2 Standard series is an updated version of the Standard 24 guitars.
