Soundcraft 12U 19" Custom Flight Case For Local Rack Stagebox

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Technical Overview & Features

1. Tailored Form Factor & Protection

• Dedicated 12U Rack Height: Provides exactly 12 standard rack units (21 inches / ~53.3 cm) of vertical space, accommodating the main I/O chassis with extra room for power conditioning, patch panels, or line drivers.

• 19-Inch Rack Rail System: Universal 19-inch rack mounting rails built to support high-density chassis weights without flexing during transit.

• Shock & Vibration Isolation: Internal framing and high-density foam lining cushion sensitive DSP engines, MADI/Dante expansion cards, and power supplies against road vibration.

2. Built for Touring

• Heavy-Duty Construction: Built from 9mm–12mm tour-grade plywood with a tough laminate finish, reinforced aluminum edging, and heavy-duty chrome ball corners.

• Front & Rear Lids: Dual removable lids provide full access to both front-panel controls/patch points and rear cable interconnects/DSP slots.

• Heavy-Duty Wheel Board: Integrated castors (typically 4x industrial-grade wheels, 2 with brakes) enable easy transport across stage decks and truck ramps.

• Recessed Hardware: Recessed spring-loaded butterfly latches and flip handles prevent snagging during truck loading.

System Compatibility

This case is commonly paired with:

• Soundcraft Vi Local Racks (used with Vi4, Vi6, Vi5000, Vi7000 surfaces).

• Soundcraft Vi / Compact / Mini Stageboxes (housing up to 64x32 I/O configurations).

• Peripheral Gear Space: A typical 9U or 10U Local Rack mounted inside leaves 2U to 3U of spare rack space for UPS battery backups, network switches, or optical fiber patching bays.
