Soundcraft CSB Optical MADI HD Card Multi Mode

The optical MADI card provides the same functionality as the Cat 5 version but on industry- standard SC fibre connectors. Two duplex SC connectors allow dual redundant cabling with automatic switchover. Connection distances of up to 1500m are possible using the standard multimode card,but a version with single-mode optical transceivers is also available allowing distances of up to 10km.

Optical MADI HD Connectivity

The card provides the same core MADI HD functionality as the Cat5 version while using optical fibre connectivity. The multimode optical interface supports cable runs of up to 1,500 metres, providing significantly greater transmission distance than conventional copper connections.

The dual optical connections can be configured for redundant operation, with automatic switchover helping maintain connectivity if the primary optical path is interrupted. Optical transmission also provides strong resistance to ground-loop and electromagnetic interference, making it well suited to large-scale professional audio installations.
