Eaton 9E1000I – Online UPS for Critical Power Protection

The Eaton 9E1000I is a 1 kVA / 800 W online double‑conversion uninterruptible power supply (UPS) engineered to protect essential IT equipment, workstations, communications hardware and small network devices from power disturbances and outages. This UPS uses true online double‑conversion topology, meaning it continuously regenerates its output waveform to isolate connected equipment from input voltage irregularities such as sags, surges, frequency variations and total mains failure. This level of power conditioning is critical in environments with unstable grids or sensitive electronics.

Power Performance & Electrical Characteristics

With 1000 VA of apparent power and 800 W of real power output, this UPS supports moderate loads while maintaining efficiency and reliability. The output power factor of 0.8 aligns with common IT equipment requirements, allowing more real usable power per kVA rating. The UPS supports 230 V nominal output (configurable to 220/230/240 V) with tight voltage regulation (± 2 %).

Battery Backup & Management

The UPS uses sealed lead‑acid (VRLA) batteries with two replaceable 12 V/9 Ah cells. It includes automatic battery testing and deep‑discharge protection to enhance battery longevity and reliability. When AC power fails, the internal batteries provide immediate backup power, giving users time to save work and shut down equipment in a controlled manner or bridge short outages.

Deployment & Environmental Details

The 9E1000I is engineered for professional settings with an operating ambient temperature range from 0 °C to 40 °C and support for altitudes up to 3000 m. Operating noise is kept below 37 dB at 1 m, making it suitable for office and small data room environments. The unit complies with globally recognised safety and EMC standards such as IEC/EN 62040‑1 and IEC/EN 62040‑2, CE Marking and EAC certification.
