The Eaton 9E3000IR is a robust online/double‑conversion uninterruptible power supply (UPS) engineered to provide clean, uninterrupted power for critical IT systems, network hardware, and sensitive electronic equipment. With a 3000 VA / 2700 W capacity and 0.9 output power factor, it delivers reliable power conditioning and backup during mains disturbances, including surges, sags, and outages. The unit is designed in a space‑saving 2U rackmount form factor (19‑inch compatible), enabling installation in server racks, telecom cabinets, and data centre environments.

Electrical Performance and Output Characteristics

This UPS uses online/double‑conversion topology to isolate connected loads from irregularities on the utility supply, ensuring a pure sine wave output with low total harmonic distortion. It supports a configurable output voltage range of 220/230/240 V ±2 % and includes (6) IEC C13 and (1) IEC C19 outlets, allowing multiple devices to be powered and protected simultaneously. The nominal output voltage defaults to 230 V, and the system maintains stable power delivery under variable line conditions.

Battery System and Runtime Management

The 9E3000IR employs six sealed, lead‑acid batteries (12 V / 9 Ah) that provide crucial runtime during mains outages. Battery management features include temperature‑compensated charging, automatic battery tests, and deep‑discharge protection, optimizing performance and extending service life. Extended runtime capability is enabled through support for up to four optional external battery modules (EBMs), allowing the UPS to deliver longer backup durations where required.

Communication interfaces consist of a USB port (HID‑compliant), an RS‑232 serial port, and a mini‑terminal block for remote power off (RPO) signaling.
